OK...cheap shot well taken!
To 'fess up here, I used a small torch to try to "buff" out the scratches left over from polishing the cut-out edges. I thought the windshield was acrylic, which, I think, can be flame polished. However, when I began to get a few bubbles around the cut-out, I realized the shield is probably polycarbonate which needs to be vacumn dried before heating...or bubbles result from H20 in the material.
It doesn't look too bad but is noticeable...the cut-outs function just fine. I just hate to screw-up after I was so careful w/ the cutting process.
Maybe I should just take the WC approach and paint the thing black... or, I could run w/ the CB +4+3 all the time. Or, just say "F*ck it!" and not obsess over it...the cut-outs seem to work as advertised and I like the smaller windshield in the summer.
OK...confession over...now, back to your regularly scheduled program.
