Bulkhead Fitting

Hi All, I'm installing my bulkhead fitting today. There seem to be differing opinions on just which direction the hose barb should point.I was wondering how you determined the direction and what some of you did with routing gas line in your applications. TIA, Joe

IIRC mine is on the (sitting on the bike) right and pointed left. My fuel line runs on the left side.

Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the final angle or find one that somebody else gave me. But, using the pic below it's pretty easy. Instead of the angle the fitting sits, follow the red line to the 2 inch wide lip area that's prominent. Pretty much aim at the middle of it and I think that's the right angle.

And it's a two person job. Make sure any burrs are off the inside and tighten the **** out of it!

Mine points to the right cuz with my fuel cell the pitcock on the cell is on the left so the hose points to the right. this is where the quick connect is. so I ran it down the right side then headed it toward the middle after the tank. There is more than one way to skin a cat. I did my bulkhead fitting by myself. Pretty straight forward after I got a number of opinions on the install.
