Why do cagers see a motorcycle in a parking lot & think "Oh boy: I can park six inches away from it and completely invade that vehicle's space when I would think twice about doing that to a car/truck"? OK, I made that last part up. But still, every single freakin' day I have a car/truck/van with two wheels inside my bike's parking space. W....T.....F.....!?!?!?

I once told the security guard at work about how close one car had parked to bike parking spots, and they made him move it. :yahoo:

Did he say cagers *think* about parking?! :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lmaosmiley: :lmaosmiley: :lmaosmiley:

It's not just bikes. I had a pristine GTO and would go to great lengths to park far away so no one would get near it. There was always some ****** hugging the line.

Just fold there mirror in and 'forget' to unfold it when you leave. If the owner happens to come back before you can scoot, then you just tell em you were "protecting there mirror" :p

Carry an old lipstick. Write LEARN TO PARK on the driver's side window. Not damaging, just hard to get off.

Yeah, your wife/girlfriend/mistress/favorite hooker has an old lipstick she's not using. Put it in a plastic bag so if it gets hot, the damage will be limited to the bag.

If you have a tire-fix kit, you should have a valve-stem remover close at hand. Lets the air outta 2 tires FAST. No damage but sure gives a pain-in-the-*** something to think about. Reduce revenge by putting the stems back :)

I have left many notes before on people windshield.

Was at McD's about 2 months ago and watched some a$$hat in a new 350z park about 1 ft from my left saddlebag, his rear tire well over the line....(to her credit his female passenger had a heck of a time getting out on her side without hitting my bike). I 'kindly' asked him to move his 350z over before it got scuffed up when I went out to remove my helmet from said LH saddlebag. I have no problems whatsoever telling someone to move it if it is danger of damaging my bike. It pisses me off to no end.

neener-neener
Damn right neener, I ride everyday, and duckpaddling into the tight spot sucked.I was tempted to let the square corner on my folded up highway peg of the Concours put a hurtin on the nice white paint of his Chrysler 300.

You could always line the sides of your spot with tire spikes.... Just saying, they are small and fit anywhere

Since I'm generally the only winter rider at my place of work, I'm always fussing with the cages that seem to think they can claim the moto-parking for themselves. Last year, I ended up parking along the wide-side of the handycapped spot. Talk about a guilt trip :(

Then I realized that, with the way the spots are marked, there *just* enough room for a bike to park next to the car taking the spot...so, I park in the spot along with 'em...more precicely, next to the driver's side door (when I can), such that they can't open it :D I haven't had the "opportunity" to do this with the Feej this year, but I really haven't ridden much this winter, either.

There are cycle parking spaces on campus where I work, but not near the building where my office is located. I just hog up an entire cage spot. I usually back in and then pull forward enough so that no one thinks my spot is empty and tries to pull in. When I go to the office I normally get there pretty early so I get a premium space near the door. Later in the morning the lot gets full and late comers have to park in other lots and walk a couple hundred yards. I never had anyone complain about me hogging up a space.

I'm not about to intentionally damage someone else's vehicle, especially since mine sits out all day. I sure have given an earfull to some folks, though.

Our problem is that the portion of the block marked for motorcycles is so close to the entrance of a building that it's just too tempting for both cagers "just running inside" and delivery trucks. One freekin truck can take up the parking for two-dozen bikes! The situation has become far worse as gas has gotten more expensive and more people commute on motorcycles.
