Dale,Do you have a picture or two (especially from the side) of your bike with new CalSci window?

Just got a new '08 and coming from an '02 1800 Goldwing, a new window is one of the first things I need.

Thanks,

Steve
Yeah, sure. The pics below should give you an idea.

You should know that, after the heat this weekend, I took it off and put it up 'til winter. It was so calm and quiet that I was baking. So, I put the stocker back on. I'm sure I'll love it come November, but it simply works too good for summer use here. It's a fantastic shield. No buffeting. No back pressure. It's very nice.

I guess the one drawback is that in high crosswinds, it seems to catch more air, and so, at highway speeds, i.e., 70 MPH+, the bike has a tendency to wander a bit with the wind direction, and feel light. Most of you won't notice it, probably, but in the afternoons here, we can get 30-40 MPH desert winds blowing through. The shield is a bit of a barn door, so those high winds do have an effect at highway speed. It's not troubling exactly, but you should be aware of it. At lower speeds, it's not really an issue, nor is it an issue without those crosswinds.

But, at 90 degrees+ here in the southern California desert, I need the extra airflow from the stocker during the summer. With the cal-sci shield, being behind that shield is like being in a nice, calm...oven. I think that means it'll be fantastic in winter,

Anyhoo, here's the pics.

Can you put the bike on the center stand and take a picture standing on the tank looking down?

Just kidding, nice report and great pics!!

Dale,

Do you have any pics that show the windscreen and the whole bike from the side? I'm probably going to buy this windscreen soon for my '07 but I'd like to see how it fits with the lines of the bike.
