Hi Mark! Are you flying down, driving or riding while the family drives? Sounds like a good excuse for the cali clans to meet the Wheaton family!!
Doing a fly and rental car...I'll try and take some photos while I'm out there.

It's unfortunate to have to travel on 4 wheels in Kali...but it hopefully will be a good (last) family trip.

Fantastic pictures! Torrey Pines Park is certainly a beautiful area. I go past it every morning on my way into work (I work about 1 mile south of it, up on the hill).

BTW, you did realize that the beach right below the cliffs is a nude beach...right? Have you been editing out the good pictures??

As a matter of fact, I have! Although on this trip, I didn't get as far south as Blacks Beach!

Here is a shot from another trip another time..watching the para-sailors and the gliders soar over the nudey beach...

Looks fun doesn't it?

HI PC - The wife and I are doing a cage tour of the mountains and then back down the coast the week of Labor Day. McWay Falls just made it on the "can't miss" list!

Always enjoy your ride reports. Thanks!

If you need the GPS coordinates to the pull out alongside the highway, let me know! :)
You can also pull into the Julia Pfeiffer parking area just south of the pullout and do the 1/4-mile walk out to view the falls... get lots of different angels and slightly closer view plus some spots to sit and enjoy the views... get a picnic lunch and kick back!

More information about McWay Falls linked below. One of these days I would do the hike, even if on a motorcycle..it's a shame to be rushing through Big Sur like I always have/do..

If that's what playing around with the settings .. and most didn't come out right .... gets you!! I'll have to tell Deb to mess with the box brownie some more

Great RR and pics Sam :clapping:

try using aperature priority with bracketing set up at plus 1 neg 1 and take 3 shots for each pic.if you have a canon.iso at 100 or 200,aperature depending on light and depth of field you want.

Roger. I haven't always been doing that. I have been manually picking both F-stops and shutter speed. ISO 100 or 200.
