A long, POSITIVE story.

Over 2 years ago I bought a Gerbing's liner from them. There was a problem and I called a (now former) emplyee and was told to return it: Attention Bob--without an R/A number (yes, I asked!). During transit, this employee was fired, so there was no record of the problem. I had mailed a letter to and called Kim(the owner), had the UPS receipt, etc. So I know it was delivered to them. There are several NorCal owners who are aware of the dilemma I've been dealing with about this (Ric-in-Sac, Skyway, Rogdeb, etc.).

Some of you know...I have had a number of deaths (5: a cousin, B-I-L, Dad, favorite Uncle, Aunt,) in my family and a couple of friends (including O'valeFJR) in the last 2 years, so the "priority" of this liner had slipped. Then, with my "get-off" in August, the hospital stay and the recovery...life has been "interesting".

I approached Kim (through Ric-in-Sac) at the bike show in San Mateo last year (14 months ago) but we have missed connection when I did call them.

The great ending to this saga is that I rode down there yesterday. My 3rd trip on a motorcycle since Aug. 18th! I explained the problem, talked with the manager (Kim wasn't there) and they gave me a new Gerbings liner.

Over the last 2 years, I have washed my wallet and destroyed the UPS receipt, I have fallen through the cracks of their business and I figured I was just forgotten and certainly had no legal leg to stand on. I was prepared to suffer the $200 loss and buy a liner but I'm grateful to them for their moral business practice.

I had a very good experience with them. The only glitch was slow shipping since the fogshield was backordered. When I called, they immediately called their distributor and got the shield out quickly.

 
I'm not exactly thrilled with them. I had ordered a Morgan Carb Tune on 7/21/08 along with the Storage Pouch. I also paid and additional $17.00 for 3 day select delivery. My order was processed and the total was $139.06 including shipping. No problem there but after 2 days I never got any tracking information. I was a little concerned about the order because at the time I was expecting my PCIII from the group buy and a K&N airfilter that I had ordered to be delivered the next day. I paid for rushed shipping on the carb tune so I could do everything that weekend and just be done ith being under the Gas tank for while. Well I called CA Sport Touring to check on the order and was informed at that time that they were backordered on the thing. I asked why I wasnt informed when I placed the order, and asked ewhy they would except rush shipping on an item that isnt in stock. There reply was that there out of stock because the manufacturer is behind and that when it does come in they'll ship it rush shipping! :dribble: Whatever, I've called a couple of times since, I was told once that arounf 8/12 till mine gets shipped, I called agin today and there guessing around the end of the week till it ships now. As a business owner my idea of customer service would have been to refund the express shipping and comp the shipping when it actually does come in. Thats me. I believe that the $6.00 bucks it might have cost me to ship the item is worth stopping bad press like this about my business pratices.

 
Have done quite a bit o biz with them. Nothing has happened out of the ordinary, so I cannot comment on above and beyond service. Everything has been delivered as expected. They are helpful on the phone.

 
I placed an order with them and I made a mistake on 1 item. I called the next business day and got excellent response and service. Everything arrived on time and my mistake was corrected and credited on my credit card. :yahoo:
