I spent the last three days fretting over the weather forecast and how exactly to gear up for the ride. I've only ridden in the rain twice and for only a short distance. Now, here I am, getting ready to leave for the event I've waited 1 year for, and it's going to rain for 10 DAYS STRAIGHT, ALL OVER THE SOUTHEAST.

I couldn't decided whether to wear my summer mesh gear with the "waterproof" liner or my winter gear that was "waterproof" without the liner. I went with maximum rain protection, the winter gear, and I'm happy to say after 1 1/2 hours in a steady rain, I was DRY!! Note to BikerGeek99, thanks for your thoughtful and detailed reply to my gear question. The first Buds for you!
