I am going to be traveling from Duluth MN, around Lake Superior and Lake Huron on Hwy 17 and 69 to Toronto begining on August 10. I am looking for suggestions for camping spots along the way. I have from August 10 till August 13 to make it around and then to Rochester NY.

Any help would be great.

There is a lovely Provincial campsite right on the north shore of Lk Superior, stoney beach. Can't remember the name of it, but you can't miss it. Sandy camping conditions. But it has the basics. Take your bug repellant and keep you eyes open for bears. Ride safe. Oh and as open as the roads are watch out for the OPP, they are ruthless!! Zero tolerance for Radar Detectors as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have looked at the Stoney beach camp site. I found the website for the Onterio parks and have all the parks information printed out. I will just figure out which one to use when I get in the area.

I am bringing plenty of bug juice. As for the bears, I just hope that they leave me alone.

Now if the last few days would go faster so I can get the hell on the road. :angry2:

I've had memorable camping on 17 just north of Thunder Bay at a private campground at Pass Lake that had a little lake with a swimming beach. Also camped at something like a KOA just north of Wawa (Wawa's the city up there with all the amenities....). ;)
