I got some duct tape if you just REALLY have to put something on there.

Go to a Harley shop and get a bell. Or some chrome bolts or something.

Seriously, MOTO sliders are available for the '06. What else do you want?

BTW, P&A anyone?

This just in from the AP Wire Service.......

Associated Press - Cypress, CA

Spridal achieved a new level of consumerism today and convinced the U.S. Congress to pass the "FJR Accessory Vendor - Model Release Coordination Act".

The bill makes it a felony for vendors of FJR accessories to not not have their wares mass produced, marketed, and available to the general public prior to the release of the new '06. Yamaha could not be reached for comment, but claimed sovereign immunity in a memo that, "We would like to give vendors some pre-release bikes for building fork braces and cool cup holders for those demanding frickin' new guys on fjrforum.com, but figure the admins would steal the bikes for their own purposes."

When asked about the Draconian law Spridal was glib said, "Extreme? Are you kidding? I wanted language to say that Group Buys had to be set up 6 months prior to product release, but it gotten taken out in committee. If I were to have my way they'd already have a Wilber shock with purple annodized springs available and 'FJR owners do it with lots of preload' stamped on them."

The bill is expected to pass through the Senate next week and signature of the President the week after.

When Spridal isn't loading up the FJR Specific Discussion forum with baited topic titles he is lobbying the UN to have sanctions brought against Gilette for not producing the Mach 9 razor--with 9 separate blades and a built in MP3 player.

I'll have to go check out them sliders :)

And someone said the admins didn't have a sense of humor...

That's classic.

You've got to remember Spridal, it took YEARS for the FJR farkle pile to grow to it's current height... the old timers talk about having to use wood carved brackets for mounting items... strip asbestos insulated copper from abandoned houses for wiring... and everything was trial and error. We lost a lot of good FJR riders when their "first" attempts at farkles went horrible wrong. How do you think Radman got to be the way he is???? You think Skooter's bulbous head is just some freak of nature? Au contraire mon frere... that was a direct result of the accident after his "helmet cam" (strapping a SONY VHS to the top of his Shoei) caught too much air. The video wasn't pretty (but is available on a collector's edition DVD...!).

So buck up Spridal, grab a soldering iron, a dremel multitool, get some scrap iron, and go create something!

Uhm. Sprical, I thought that "Necessity was the mother of invention." So your excuse for not finding a way to fill your own need would be.......???? That's how the "Farkle biz" got goin years ago.

If you would read some of the posts under the "Parts" heading, you might find that Cee Baileys and others are working on windshields since owners have taken their new '06s in to be used as test mules for fitting parts. IIRC, National Cycle already has one ready

MotorcyleLarry and Skyway are both working on handlebar risers. :whistling:

Skyway and Moto already have sliders available. (Did you try looking under "FJR Vendor Offers"?)

Believe me, Givi and other aftermarket luggage companies want to sell you a topcase, so they will be working diligently on bracketry and hardware as soon as someone will take a bike to them.

Gee whiz, Wally, is this why they label them "FNGs", 'cuz they can't look around the forum to find what they want! :dribble:

Mebbe yew shudda bot wunna them yoosed '04s er '05s sew yew kud have alla them farkles yew want. :yahoo:
