Was sitting on my porch and this guy on a Green 600 Ninja comes sputtering past my house and stops just around the corner.

I hear him keep trying to start the bike.

So I walk over to him to see if he needs help and I see the ignition is punched out. Young guy early 20's or so.

I ask him about the punched out ignition and he says it was stolen and he just got it back a week ago, says he was on his way to a dealer to get a new ignition, Hmmmm.........

Another neighbor comes out of his garage and walks over.

I say to the guy hold on let us get some tools.......I walk back with the neighbor to his garage and ask him to call the police to check this out (didn't have my cell with me)

Sure enough cops come and BUST the little Prick!!.

I despise thieves that steal our hard earned stuff, hope he got some real time!

He is lucky he met you ....

Someone else might have kicked his little butt and tell the cops that they came running out when they heard the crash ...

You are a good Samaritan.

Probably, but depending on his record maybe he'll spend sometime in a cell with Bubba!
You would think, but jail has gotten way kinder and gentler these days too. If they're scared, all they gotta do is say. The get a "segregation" cell where they are all alone in a cell 23.5 hours a day. Shower alone, eat alone, and don't get into any hassles. Very different from what it was years ago.

Must piss you off when the little pricks are out before your shift is over.

Another reason I couldn't do your job AJ

Got to go with the Bug on that one.

Just keep busting them till something sticks.
Meh...It irritates us that the same guys are the ones getting busted for the same stuff over and over. We continue to take them to jail and the judges continue to let them out. It's a vicious cycle but I guess it makes the world go round. Laws differ by states, but here, there is no 3-strikes law, so they keep doing the same stuff and we keep booking them for it. Eventually, they do something stupid enought that they go away for a couple years. Then they get out and are right back at it.

Good work, thieves are scum.
Yes they are!!

Haha...It is a shame Law Enforcement and the court systems are so full of douche bags that think it's ok for someone to steal your stuff, but it's not ok to beat their ass if you catch them. Watch that...I have seen the victims get charged as the bad guy more than once. It infuriates me!

APD had the right idea, shoot first ask questions later if the perp is still alive. My son is in jail right now, and doesn't seem to want out. The probation is harder then staying in jail and getting it over with.
