For Sale - 2000 CBRXX on Craigs List near Chicago. No relation to me.

I tried to talk the SO into a second bike, but to no avail. She wants the FJR paid off first - as it should be...

For you:

XX

From the standard U boat ref site - www.uboat.net

The Laughing Swordfish - 9th Flotilla

One of the more famous emblems, this became the emblem of the 9th Flotilla in Brest, one the most active combat units of the war. Thus is was seen on many boats, most notably U-96 and became famous in the movie Das Boot.

Originally it was green but somehow the red version has become much more famous and many people have never seen the green one.

You don't want that old Blackbird on Craig's List anyway... with that few miles on it, it is unproven and has been an obvious garage queen the past seven years.

Blackbirds are only happy when they are on the road... you want THIS Blackbird right here:

This XX was only ridden to church on Sundays by a little old lady who was very gentle with it...... B)

Apparently, she was <ahem> very religious; the odometer states 88,500 miles.....

So how may clams for this holy XX?

That one for sale with only 2900 miles is schweet for sure, but I actually think it is a negative. I bought an older, low mile bike once - 12 years old with only 10,000 miles, and I had all kinds of problems with that bike. But it sure looked great. Don't know if I was just unlucky, but I attributed it to too much sitting. I'll never do that again.

On consignment at Desert Valley Powersports, it is listed for $5400 (just over $300 less than Kelly Blue Book value, since it does have a few miles on it), but for any forum member here, I'd let them steal it for $4950.... but not a penny less.
