I just got my CDL-B with air brakes endorsement.

I just went and did it.

Never sat in a truck that big before having to take the skills test.

Practiced parallel parking using my pickukp truck with the back windows taped over.

Just wondering how many other CDL holders we have and what endorsements?

I might try for a CDL-A in the summer once I figure out how I'm going to practice parallel parking a semi without one to play with. Maybe a gooseneck trailer on a pickup?

Congratulations, I think. Now you are legally drunk at .04 rather than .08 and you CAN'T go to traffic school for tickets.

CDL-A with hazmat, doubles/triples, tanker, air-brakes 25 years, hoping to retire soon! Great training when coupled with Smith System. Only place I feel "unsafe" is in the parking lot!

:dribble:

Same as last chance except I've only the measly "doubles endorsment". Though I haven't drove full time in eight years I'm not about to let it lapse, to damn expensive.

Agreed the only safe place is the parking lot. and FUZZY BALLS!!!!!!!! to the Smith System. To bad everyone isn't required to attend these classes .

:jester:

I have held my CDL-A with Hazmat for the last 15 years. As bustanut said..I haven't driven full time in serveral years, It's just to expensive to let it laspe

i have had a class b w/air brakes for several years

it still sucks when my drivers don't show up and i have to do the deliveries............(actually i relish the chance to get out and drive) :D

He's either "off his med's" or lying! The ONLY driving I enjoy anymore is on the FJR!!!!

If I could pass the physical I would get current with my Private Pilot's license and build a F1 Rocket, now that would be FUN!!! :yahoo:

Oh, a nice motor home towing a boat and my FJR would be acceptable too! (triples anyone) That would be the only reason I WON'T let mine lapse!!!!

Also, CDL-A with hazmat since required. Cost approx. $165 last time at DMV for background check, finger printing, etc (since 911). Still drive a couple of times a month for the fun of it. Bad thing about having CDL in FL, if you get a speeding ticket (even on the cycle), you can't go to traffic school to get rid of the points. Don't know about other states?

Me too, and......"P"

There are a number of forum members who are on this list. Everyone doesn't get to drive the fast trucks with the flashing red lights like Toecutter does.

On the list too, full endorsments but I get get to drive red lights AND blue lights! and I can promise you BLUE light's are faster!!

I had a CDL-A for 10 years while in the military. Uncle Sam paid for it. When I got out I never used it. I kept it current for about 6 more years by taking the required physical. When I went to add the motorcycle endorsement a few years ago the DMV said I couldn't add it without a valid medical card. I wasn't about to go get another physical just so I could add the scoot so I told them to give me a regular license and they did. No regrets yet. I figured if I needed it again I could just go take the tests and easily pass the driving part with a little practice.

All endorsements with the exception of haz-mat which I let go because during the 8 years I had it I transported no hazardous material. I'll get it back if I see the need for it.

Class A without any endorsements. I haven't driven for a living in about 10 years. I keep it current so I can drive part time ( 10 wheeler dump truck ) and I need to rent large trucks for my current job once in a while.

I will never let it laps. I worked too hard to get it and seems I get more respect from LEOs when they see it.

Yep... On the list also.

Class A with Haz-Mat for 11 years.

Currently sitting in Portland (Troutdale) waiting on a load... :angry2:
