A bike shop in Alabama has these on their website. Could these be competition for used FJR's?

They are also listed on an Australian website: https://www.650tk.com.au/

I converted AUD to USD to estimate their selling price as about $7,300.

I've had one of their scooters now for a couple of years and if their 650's are anything like it, I doubt Yamaha has anything to worry about. The scoot's ok and all for what it is (and what I got it for) but when considering the build quality, well, I just hope to get as much fun out of it as I can until it falls apart. Everything seems cheap on it with no evidence of trying to engineer a quality product. I see it as just another Chinese knock-off mass produced and sent quickly to market.

In fairness though, a friend had two of them doing U-boat impersonations in his garage after Sandy, one completely submerged. We tore both down to frame, motor and wiring and got one to actually go. Now as far as stopping - that was another issue.

We've had a couple of shops here do the Chinese bikes of one type or another several times. None has stayed with it more than the initial shipment. They're cheap, but they're not any value at all.

That's a generalization, of course, I know nothing specific about this particular bike. It seems, though, that a parallel-twin 650cc motor is mighty damned popular in them things!

From the side, looks like a 3/4 version of the ST1300...probably w/o the reliability -- just guessing on the last point!
