Been lurking on the SFO page, seems that they had a great time meeting in Russellville,AK.and riding the roads in northern Arkansas.

Grnarrowe has proposed CFO 07 to be held in Sparta, Mo. having visited that area I think it is a good location with some great roads to ride.

The riders from SFO had such a great time in northern Arkansas that they're talking about doing it again in 07.

Here's where the thinking part comes in, uuuh, ouch, ouch, since Sparta, MO. and Russellville, Ak. are only 150 miles apart. What if the two events where jointed? Have a combined CFO/SFO event.

OK, I threw it out on the floor, waiting for feedback.

Thats a great idea! You wont be dissappointed with the Arkansas roads, Thats for sure!

Besides, Sparta Missouri would not be a good place for an event. Really small town with no offerings except for the roads. I ride through there everytime i go out riding, And it is not that spectacular.

If i may suggest a special joint SFO/CFO parts 1 and 2 (spring and fall) since we were going twice next year.

Watcha think about that?

I just e-mailed smitty to see if he was interested in planning something for spring and he said that he would get back to me and also see what the rest of the board has to say.

If we had it together that would be great. But a bigger venue would have to be found. I suggested to smitty to have it in spring so that we could have two rallies down that way. One in spring and the other in the fall. But whatever happen will be fun.

Hmmm,

I think your on to something Dev, We *could* have upwards of 100 bikes and Russellvillle cant handle that load, Unless we take over the town!

I would say Little Rock would be our best option since they have bigger hotels and a possible banquet room.

Just thinking out loud...

Adam

My feeling of having one in spring right away is because of us northern folks. We will be so anxious to get out, I think we could have a terrific turnout just from the CFO crowd. Along with everybody elso who might want to join in, that would make it all that much better.

We could just call the spring rally CFO. The Fall one SFO. It doesn't really make much difference. Its fun riding no matter what we call it.

Let everybody pipe in how they feel for awhile and we will see what happens. Maybe somebody else has got some good ideas of how to handle it.

Adam,

I think Russellville could handle the 100+ bikes, but we would need to get moving on this now.

If you are thinking a spring and a fall you might want to throw out some dates for ideas.

I know my dance card is already starting to fill up for next year.

So many places to go and so little time.
