I know this is a bit late but I just learned how to post pics. Just like a newbe to post a bunch.

I rode my FJR to CFO in Custer SD in 08 but time would not allow me to ride to LaCrosse last fall so I flew to Minneapolis and rented the Wingabago to ride to CFO and beyond. I grew up in Mn. so this was a way to combine a ride to see family and the good folks at CFO. Rode through six states, very nice!

Most of my pictures are taken on the fly. I just point and shoot, too busy riding to stop.

Ahh the Wing and some fall color

Headed to LaCrosse along the big creek

That Honda fits right in with the FJR's (only bigger)

Great bunch of people kicking tires

Enjoyed a great ride in the hill country with Corwin, DaJuice and Cruzin which included a stop at Forevertron. Here is a couple trouble makers

Damn big one, going to need a Bradley tank to control this guy.

Left CFO Sunday morning for a brisk ride along the Mississippi in cool temps (love that heated seat Mr Honda) as I head over to Kalamazoo area to visit my sister's family. Here's the back pasture with their free range chickens. A Hawk came in just after this pic but wasn't big enough to taste one.

The next day it was time to head north for the eastern side of Lake Michigan and Mackinaw City. I think Ca. is that way.

Here is the ice breaker Mackinaw which is now a museum. I enjoyed a after dark self guided tour the night before, a few adult beverages seemed to help me get aboard. These are pictures I took the next morning when a sober head previaled.

Now it's time to head north for the Michigan Upper Peninsula after crossing the Mackinaw Bridge with some fog off to the east. Way cool bridge and so glad the outside lane is paved instead of the slippery grate on the inside lane as it was a damp morning.

Had to swing by the Gay Bar although I was a bit late to get any IBR bonus points, hell I didn't even have time for a "pop".

Now it was time to motor on up to Copper Harbor and mail my son a post card from their Postal complex.

At this point I must pause and say a big "Thank You" to Rick Corwin for his most excellent route suggestions for the UP. Some mighty fine twisty roads where the Wing and I did some serious bonding, that big girl does much better than you may think.

Here are some pics along Lake Superior and other locations.

Some of the better water towers, I really liked the one shaped like a bobber in Pequot Lakes Mn.

Met up with a high school friend and his Harley in Duluth and rode back to Minneapolis to return the Wing. The peg feelers were missing a bit of metal: but overall the bike did all I asked of it and with a couple days of light rain I did enjoy the weather protection.

I would do CFO again in a heart beat but can't get away in summer so this year I will try and make SW-Fog on my FJR.

One last pic of a friends back yard, Lake Sullivan. Somehow I doubt it looks like that today.

Glad you liked the UP there's some really nice riding up there and even better dual sporting. Maybe the next trip back we'll head there on the KLRs.

Well done, amigo. Lovely pics, and as was noted, it's nice to look back on WARMER days.

Great UP Pic's I can say have been on almost every major paved rod up there and some dirt, its my favorite place to ride. I am planning my 1st trip for 2010 up there for the 2nd weekend of April and am heading to my favorite place for some whitefish and beer in Grand Maris.

The UP is one of my favorite places too and Grand Marais is one of my favorite towns. :thumbsupsmiley: Home of the Lake Superior Brewing Co. and the Dunes Saloon. Good times, good times. I was there one Fourth of July and they had a parade, it went around town 3 times. That's so all the people in the parade could watch and all the people watching could be in the parade, ya gotta love small towns.

Are you going to make it to CFO 2010, you know you should B) clicky
