Let's start with a clean slate with suggestions on where the 2007 CFO meet should be held.

Some good ideas where mentioned, such as South Dakota and southeastern Ohio, so post up with your ideas/thoughts of any other good riding areas that should be considered!

I will be in Allison Arkansas doing the Hooterville 400. I think a few people are going to this and considering this as our CFO... I know i am :)

EDIT:

After reading the other thread about CFO, I think SD would be a great choice... But there are too many flat.straight miles for me to get there.

I will have to think about this one and if the dates line up right, I might make BOTH events. :yahoo:

I would never consider Smitty's Hooterville rides as a CFO. It has generally been a smaller attended ride...but I can see how it has become increasingly popular.

Wasn't there some talk about ST.N doing their National at Custer S.D. in July or something, before their site went down?

I see this exchange and get concerned. I'll suggest that the term "Hooterville 400" and "CFO" don't seem to share anything in common and, therefore, is not appropriate to this thread. Please keep it about CFO.

Ditto here. This isn't ST.N National. It's about CFO. Please keep it about CFO.

It is for me also. 14 hours of superslab round trip. I did that for only 5 hours of twisties. But if it works out, I'm going anyway. Its when you get their that all the fun begins. I begining to think we might have a possible contender here. Interest seems to be growing and we have an offer by someone close to get the ball rolling.

I'm also trying to get to smitty's run and like wheaton, I don't think I would consider it to be CFO.

Sorry-- I just brought that up to try and keep the conflicts from poping up and causing problems like the last time.

I won't be posting again.

In my opinion(and we all know what Opinions are like) We've all gone a little over the top on this one because of the history, Maybe we should all take a step back, and give whom ever decides to organize this event the options of time and place. It is a big enough job to put a meet like this together, lets not place time and location requirements into it.

Yes I loved riding in South Dakota, but I also Liked Southwest Wisconsin, and SouthWest Indiana, and Southeast Illinois, and Southwest Missouri, and well you get the idea, lots of nice places to ride and I'm tring to get to all of them. To bad I have to work to buy gas.

People don't always agree with me, and thats OK too.

Nova Scotia has been a ride I've wanted to do for some time now, but never got around to due to putting a couple of WFO's, CFO's under my my belt.

A lot of us seem willing to travel to wherever the meets are, why not turn CFO into a wandering bunch of gypsies and look into varied geographical locations like that if enough interest ?

I've started a giant map thanks to the "I've been everywhere, Man" video and still need to fill in the North, East, Southern and Southwestern sections.

EOM,SFO,SWO cover the areas I want to ride with the folks I'd like to meet, perhaps the upper Northeast for CFO is worth considering if it'll bring together a group of riders that may not attend an FO otherwise?

Just tossing out my 2 cents, it's not much further out of the box than an Arkansas CFO ride. ;)

Come on up to Nova Scotia in June and see the greater part of the maritimes in 24 hours. "www.aldersland.com"

The good part of being in the middle of nowhere is it's about the same distance to anywhere. I also have a passport. ;)
