Ricky Carmichael finished in 1st place at Daytona to take the points lead from (now) 2nd place Yamaha rider Chad Reed in the Supercross series. Next race is March 18 in Orlando.

Carmichael 215 points

Reed 213 points

Stewart 189 points

Reed got second with a dislocated shoulder. Gotta give him props. He's probably one of the smoothest riders I've ever seen.

I frickin hate Ricky. he rides cleaner now, but he used to make quite a few dirty moves to pass people (like block pass and knock the other bike down). They call it "racing", but I could predict it almost every time. As much as he's crashing, I don't expect to see him last that long.

I'm rooting for Bubba. What a nice kid and smooth rider.

Yamaholic, Hate is an awful strong word.

If he were ridin Blue, you wouldn't be able to contain my excitement.

I think RC gets a bum rap because he has been beating guys so bad for so long that some have come to spite him.

I think he is a great competitor and an even better role model than most that have come from sports in the past.

He is the "Mark" and when your the "Mark" everybody else is gunnin for you. With this in mind, I think he has been a pretty stand up guy even knowing everybody wanted to see Bubba consistantly beat him.

Which isn't going to happen this year!

Bubba, on the other hand, needs to mature a little and he will be the next RC. When I say Mature, I mean both mentally and physically.

But honestly, its great to see all 3 of them battleing it out each week.

Mark
