Interesting video about how the human mind ignores changes that it doesn't deem "important". Motorcycle riders have known this for years, but for some reason it doesn't click with most car drivers.

I wonder if you did this with motorcycle riders, how many would notice it?

I agree with you in the sense that I have read and heard in an MSF class, that even IF you make eye contact with a driver, they still may not see you.

If a driver of a car checks for other cars, that's what they're going to do. Not being a car, may fall into that "blindness" the video so elegantly demonstrates.

Those experiments and the card tricks associated with them on the side panel actually explain a great deal about eye witnesses. I learned a long time ago that about 80% of the time, there is a problem with what a witness sees. It's funny that the second video placed that number at 75%. The bitch is that the color change card trick totally got me. I never even noticed.
