I've gotten quite a bit of valuable help and suggestions from this forum, so this is just an attempt to "give back". It may not be slick, but I did it and it works. Maybe it will be just the thing for you.

I added Motovation sliders to my '06. I found I could almost keep my feet up on them, one at a time, but not quite. They could almost double as Hwy pegs, but not quite. If only they were a couple of inches longer. So....

The Motovation Sliders are 2" diameter so I bought some 2" black plumbing pipe and two end caps. Cut the pipe about 4" long, glued on the cap, and they were too loose over the sliders! Drat!

So I wraped the sliders with the soft side of some velcro.

Fits perfectly!

It's too tight to slide under the faring where the faring is close to the slider so I cut away enough to permit it to go all the way in.

They let me put one foot or both feet up on long uneventful stretches and I can then rest my arm on my knee as well. Very cool!

I can easily slide them on and off as I like and usually keep them in the bags. I see no danger as they will either help in a tip or slide or break.

Like I said, cheap, easy, not very elegant, but they work.

Very cool. Sounds like the "essence of farkling"...

Which, contrary to popular belief, is not Warchild's cologne. :D

how often do you see "cheap" and "farkle" in the same sentence. well, except maybe for "i'm too cheap to add another farkle to my scoot".

good one! tho' i gotta agree with the fugly bit. ;)
