I know I missed the group buy......sux, but I have seen cheaper pricing on Ebay but so far no one vendor has both front and rear. I've seen as low as $116 for the front and $166 for the rear not including shipping.

With shipping costs included...SWMoto was only $5 more expensive than Derby due to free shipping from SWMoto for a pair of tires...so they might in the running as well.

After thinking about it, I'm going to keep my money spent here at home supporting the small guy. It's going to cost me about $80-90 more but I'd rather support a local non dealer small independent shop vs a high volume vendor.

I got a quote from the local guy to start with so imagine if I bought from somewhere else after he took his time to quote me then went to him to have him install them, I think that kind of blows.

I ordered a set from Derby. Ground shipping to the Windy City was a couple of days. Can't complain about the service or the price I got either.

But Derby is your neighbor across the border. Kudo's for supporting your local business.

They're 10 miles from me, but it actually costs me more to do business with them. Sales tax makes it cheaper to buy from Ohio. Or Arizona.

Mike P.-

I'm glad you were able to justify the added cost to buy and support local talent. For me, even with the competition in my area, the cost to purchase and install was brutal. I jumped in on the GB and probably saved $120~$180, all told. I have no loyalties to any of these local "stealers", lots of unfortunate dealings because of the anonymity of the large box stores, frequent mechanic turn-over and large customer base. In fact the building where I originally bought my FJR is now a boat marina (with no water access)! I think that the 'shop' actually moved a couple of blocks away, changed its name, most of the personnel, and went super-size. From the outside it kind of resembles an 'HD' shop for yuppies.
