I got spider bitten while on the way back from CFR, broke down on the bridge between Sarnia ON and Port Huron MI. Called AAA, they had the bike towed to the nearest dealer, which happened to be Macomb Powersports in Chesterfield.
They were waiting for me when I got there, just before closing. They pulled the bike and my trailer inside the shop and got to work on the problem the next morning.
They went to bat for me with Yamaha, they documented and took pictures of the burned up S4 spider which they sent to the Yamaha tech folks, then spliced the connector, made sure all the other ground spiders in the harness were cleaned up and di-electric greased, and got me back on the road. Charges for the repair (bike is out of warranty) were really reasonable, not even close to the amount of time they spent making sure the thing was fixed properly. Very fair treatment.
These guys turned what could have been a really miserable experience into something that, while hardly enjoyable, was certainly a whole lot less painful than it could have been.
Thanks!
