Well, we all know about my bike accident in july, and the fact that I waited about a month to file a calim w/ my ins after the other idiots ins wasn't doing ****. Well, state afrm totalled the bike and had a generous settlement check waitng fo me after 3 days, all I had to do was produce a title. Easy right? WRONG!!!!!!!!!

After going to our dmv to get said title, I discovered HSBC was my lienholder, no problem except I NEVER FINANCED THRU THEM! Well, me and my lawyer called and sent faxe after fax for a little over 3 weeks before he found someone at DMV that the application stated HSBC from the dealer, even though those idiots financed me thru GE Bank!

Well, I went to the dealership after finding this out to see if they could rectify THEIR ****-up. The gentleman I spoke w/ called someone and said that he left a message w/ somebody and they were a pita to talk to and to call the next day or so, after he told me to come to him when I come in for another bike, just so I could get a better deal  . Well, after not hearing anything for 3days I called him and whatta ya know, he's been off on the days he said was there! So I get to talk to someone who doesn't sound all that concerned that because of them my check for quite a bit of oney is being held up!

Luckily, I got a hold of someone at HSBC that knew exactly what I needed done and walked everything through just like he said he would UNLIKE SOME OTHER JAGS! My title is on its way here as we speak thanks to Brian and Sally at HSBC!

Not CHICAGO CYCLES who ****** this up from the start and didn't seem to give 2 ***** after I told them what happened.

They only time they'll see my money is if I need something VERY BADLY and nobody else has it! I don't care if I have to drive to to wisconsin the next time I purchase a new bike because thats how far I will go to avoid these idiots. I mean, ****, I put down 98% of the total down the day I bought it ,you would think they would at least get the title app right. Or at least fix what THEY ****** from the start

As an addendum to this story, this is even better. I got a call yesterday from said saleperson tell me my title was mailed last week and that he forgot about his time off. <_< Oh and when I purchase another unit to come see him for a good deal. Umm, NO!!!!

These are the guys that ....as late as April '07 ... were advertising brand new '06 A models for $9,995. The catch was that they didn't even have any in stock! You gotta love the bait and switch.

Chicago Cycles is fun to visit cause they have so many bikes...but I don't plan on buying a bike there.

Bought a used R6 from them back in 2004, no problems, however - Most expenseive place to get any bike serviced. $85 just to change the a tire, even if you buy the tire at Chicago Cycle. WTF!

I purchased my AE from Chicago Cycles and it was a bad experience. I was paying cash and they had me wait about 6 hours before they had the paperwork and the bike ready. Be aware of there hidden charges such as setup, fluids and misc. I understand all dealers do this to some degree but this place takes it to a whole new level. They advertise very low prices but make it up in extra fees.

Good place to look at bikes, that's about it.

I just pulled out the old FJR file to remind myself and to warn others how they get you. FJRAE price 11899.00(not a bad price for a new 06ae), freight 785.87, handling 774.00, prep. 209.08, document fee 58.48, cook county fee 7.50(is there such a thing?), + tax & registration. These are real numbers taken off my bill of sale 4/21/2007

Hope this helps our FJR community

long story, not worth telling. Same as above. NEVER will I darken their doorstep again.

And I bought from Rand River in Des Plaines...love them.

I bought my '06 A from them in Dec. of '06 for $10,500 ( I paid tax and registration when I got home) out the door. I held the salesman's feet to the fire at least 6 times over the phone making him promise me that I would only pay that amount. Other than having to wait for nearly 4 hours to get the paper work done, I got what was promised. Fast forward 2 years, so I figure I will get the same deal on my '07 Suzuki DRZ 400S. Same salesman=same deal? NO! I get there and he says he has to tack on a $250 aquisition fee! WTF! I had just driven from Mpls. so I wasn't about to leave empty-handed. I bit the bullet, paid the $250, waited the usual 4 hours for the paper work, loaded up the bike and headed for Arkansas for a weeks worth of riding. The next Monday I called the general manager, told him what happened, he checked into it and 2 days later I had a refund. Lesson learned: Don't deal with the salesman (weasel) named Heavy! Although I did save $1,500 on the FJR and $800 on the DRZ, the hassles took some of the shine off the "good" deals. My experience, jevers
