There are so many choices when it comes to buying a new exhaust system but I found out when doing this on my Harley Electra Glide that there was only one system for me. I wouldn't recommend any other exhaust than what I'm running and that's mainly because of how well the bike performs with this system.

So I'm wanting to hit a home run where my '07 FJR is concerned. At this point the Holeshots and Staintune are appealing but I'm wondering what most of you think would be the top say 3 contenders?

I'm only a few days into this whole new world of FJR experience.

Holeshots and Staintune are both nice. Lots of folks are quite happy with the stock mufflers. There isn't a whole lot of difference between different aftermarket markets as far as the sound goes. Just a bit louder and deeper than the OEM. My advice to you is to keep the stockers on until you can hear some of the different options. You might very well decide to run the stock mufflers, which sound nice.

p.s., In case you're wondering, I have the tasteful black Holeshot cans on my bike...but then I suffer from farkle-itis.

(Is that a word? Is now!)

At WFO-6, after watching the folks at Remus install about a dozen sets of their new Hexacone bolt-ons for the FJR1300, I was drooling heavily.

Titanium-sleeved, carbon-fiber end-caps, removable baffles, and has a lifetime packing that never needs replacing.

I'm running Leo Vance oval SBKs and the sound is only slightly louder than the stock pipes until you start running the revs above 6,500. You got good advice to hold off until you hear different pipes in the real life. By the way, welcome to the Forum. Things may get a little "rowdy" at time, but all in all it's a good source of information and differing opinions.

Thanks, appreciate that. I will wait to see and hear what others are using for sure.

How much for a set and how do the Remus sound compared to others? Which vendor had them?

I had never heard of Remus before WFO, and I have to say Gunny to what WC said. Amazing looks, incredible sound.

Found some pix on the WFO subforum, though there were only two :( . Really neat looking exhaust, if anyone has more pix showing the whole bike/different angles it would be apprciated - so would video/audio :p

I live local to where the WFO-6 was held and the REMUS looked incredible. By the time I got up there they had sold out and I figured well good maybe I can do with out. All day yesterday I thought about how good they looked and sounded, so I got a set this morning direct from REMUS for $800.00 should be here next week.

What number did you call or exactly how did you order them? Also what is the shipping. I just ordered mine from Maxmoto and they want $899.00 for them. Did you order the Hexacone exhaust or the Revolutions?
