Perhaps if you widen your area. We (Florida FJR riders) have had a meet-up nearly every month this year. We try to include all state areas

in each RTE. There is also a sport-touring group that does rides every month in the state. Hope to catch you on a ride or RTE soon.

Right here in this section. Matter of fact, most of the group are meeting right now in Bowling Green for BBQ.

The other group is a regional chapter MSTA (?) Motorcycle Sport Touring Assoc. (?)

I get emails from them on upcoming rides even though I am not a member.

We have a place we spend some weekends up there in Citrus County. We are just outside Crystal River. I generally go on ride either Sat or Sun. We will not be around for a couple weeks. Going on a long ride, but after that should be up there some weekends this fall.

Also, the RTEs are fun. Good group from all over Florida. We have had good attendance even this time of year. We might even end with more when the weather cools and the threat of a thunder storm every afternoon goes down.

Anywhere from about 12-5 this summer I think.

They are not exclusive to FJRs. Many times there are people that have other bikes in addition to FJRs. They have friends come along. And in my case my wife rides an Indian.

So spouses or friends on any type of bike are welcome.

Next one is not really planned. Someone just kind of jumps up and makes a suggestion. Generally it's best just to throw a date and a place out there. Then whoever can shows up. We try to move them around the state to give everybody a chance to attend at least some of them.

Do you schedule a ride before you eat? Or just ride there and eat?

Generally, ride there to eat. Sometimes, who ever is local to the area, might get some to go with him to ride some local roads. That depends on how far some have to ride back home though, and might not have the time. Some will also ride up or back together.

Mainly, it's just a meal with some great comraderie.

Normally I would, but will be loading the bikes up for EOM. Riding season, for us Flatistani's, is just around the corner. We'll enjoy it more when not sweating, like a FSU player at finals, anyway. :dirol:

Just so ya know I'm just a few miles south of you down in Pasco County: I'm about 6 miles east of US 19 and just south of the Hernando County Line. There are indeed a few of us around here.

David and I had a great ride Saturday.

Went on some nice back roads just west of Ocala. Some pretty horse country.
