I am looking for a product or method for cleaning and polishing the aluminum wheels on my wife's 2004 "Wing (yes, her bike is bigger, BUT my FJR is more fun).

She picked this one up w/low mileage but there are some discolored or tanrished spots on the wheels.

I would like to find some product or method that does a good job without doing any damage.

IIRC, those are clear coated - my '01's were. Once you polish through, you'll be after 'em for ever...
I have read that the later GL1800's are not coated BUT that was not from a reliable source so the condition of the 2004 is still in question.

I was wondering if they were coated, they don't look to be but that can be decieving.
