I was very surprised to find that the liner in the Multitech is not removable. For the price this is very surprising. Anyway, I absolutely LOVE this lid and want to get it regardless. What method do you folks use to de-funk :sicksmiley: your lids after a few hot, sweaty, rides?

I never put the helmet on without one of these.

Besides allowing the helmet to slide on and off easier, reducing itch and helmelt hair, now I don't have to wash the helmet as much.

First, use a liner such as Sliks. Second, I think it was ocfjr who suggests a run through the dishwasher on mild settings and heat dry set to 'off'. Never done this myself, but who knows?

I'll also run a few shots of Smell-Be-Gone after every sweaty use. It helps.

Good question as to why Shoei does not have removable liners (cheeks are, but nuttin' else)... Anyone? Bueller?

D'oh! Speedy G beat me to the Sliks post.

Always wondered what Ma and Paw Skooter looked like.

I have washed my Shoei RF-900 in the dishwasher a couple of times with a non sudding cleaning. For sure turn off the water heat cycle and the dry cycle. Works well and the auto rinse gets the soap out better than just hand washing and trying to rinse in out by hand.

A motorcycle helmet...

...in a dishwasher.....

.............I can just see the look on my wife's face now....
