I visited them during SFO '09 and '10

CycleGadgets.com Closure FAQ

What happened? Why are you closing?

It's certainly no secret that the economy has limited a lot of people's discretionary spending, and motorcycle accessories in general have taken a pretty good hit. From 2000-2006 we saw year after year of steady business growth and profit, and when we made the decision to move to Eureka Springs, Arkansas we made aggressive plans with a large building and big investments in equipment and software to allow us to continue to grow. Unfortunately that saddled us with a lot of debt and ongoing fixed expenses. When business failed to continue growing, and in fact shrunk considerably (down now nearly 70% from 2006), we fell further and further behind in keeping up with those debts. We have attempted to find investors and even listed the business for sale, but have not been able to work out an arrangement that would allow us to avoid bankruptcy and to continue operating.

What about the Eureka Springs store?

Our store is closed as well.

Are there close-out or liquidation items for sale?

At this time there are no liquidation items offered. If you would like to be contacted about buying bulk quantities of liquidation inventory at such time as it's being offered, email [email protected] with your contact information. This will be saved and provided to the bankruptcy trustee. They may contact you, or they may not - we don't know how liquidations will be handled.

What if I have an open order?

All orders have been shipped, or canceled. The last orders were shipped around February 1st, so if you have not received something you ordered - it's not coming. Canceled orders were notified by email (check your SPAM filter) and credit cards were not charged.

Where can I get support on an item that I have purchased?

Product questions should be directed to the manufacturer of your product. See the manufacturers link at the bottom of this page.

I have an item I want to return, what can I do?

Unfortunately CycleGadgets.com is in receivership and we cannot issue any refunds.

Your purchases are covered by the various manufacturer's warranties; see the Links to Manufacturers at the bottom of this page for information on how to contact them.

Is CycleGadgets.com gone for good? What are Sean & Laurene's plans?

At this point I can't say whether CycleGadgets.com will return in some form with Laurene or me as a part of it. I hope that it can. In the meantime, we are job hunting. I (Sean) may be doing some motorcycle consulting on the side, check back here for information on that later. We hope to remain in the Eureka Springs area but as of right now we can't say whether that will happen or not.

Heard that a while back. It is sad... bought a few things from them on line... Then, when I happened to be in town I dropped in and say hi... yes bought a couple more things...

It's the way of the world I guess!

Bummer! I'd purchased items from them over the years and only remember good customer service and product lines. Another victim of this economy, which many can relate to, but I wish them well in putting things back together.

+1 I always enjoyed ordering from them for the same reasons. Wishing them well on the next leg of their journey!
