Clothing & Helmets near Naples FL

Since I'm not only new to SWF but to the US as well, can The Forum point me in the direction of a quality accessory store for bike clothing and helmets in the Naples area?

I see there is a store in Fort Myers called Cycle Gear - Any good?

Of course I can buy on line but I like to try things on.

Help?

CycleGear are OK, albeit pricey, and their inventory is somewhat limited. You'll quickly find that you need to get most of your stuff on-line being stuck in Flori-Duh.

+1 You will spend more money on gas, not to mention your time looking for gear. The west coast has it all!

the only consulation is bikes are a little cheaper here. Wait til spring and ride to Daytona! We have the weather

it is a crying shame we don't have the roads. LD riding is the only option!

About the only brick'n'mortar place I've found in Florida with a decent selection of helmets is "Helmet Shop" in Daytona & Orlando. They also usually have a good pick of jackets too.

We just bought a textile jacket for my girlfriend there. Nice water resistant jacket, for winter riding, was on sale as well once we began to check out.... Some stuff is more expensive than others in there...

+1 on the Helmet shop as well. If you call and DO NOT ORDER ON LINE, they usually give you a better deal.....

How about the bmw,triump dealer in ft meyers. Are they any good?

Gulf Coast Motorcycles (BMW, Triumph, Ducati) in Ft. Myers is a very nice, but small, dealership. Their in stock helmet selection is small and their off the rack riding apparel is mostly brand specific. They can however order just about anything you want, whatever the brand, and do internet orders.
