Has anyone ever attended the Kieth Code School? I am thinking of a 2 day one in October in Vegas. That is if I can take the 2 day school without having had the Level 1 to 4 schools. I tried to determine that from the website but it is not clear. I sent an email so I expect to hear back soon.

I watched a friends videotape of KC's school... done in the 80's and showing it. Still and all.. good information, and probably a good school to attend (along the lines of thinking that it's hard to find a really BAD school when looking for motorcycling improvement).

I took it years ago but recently Coyote from this forum did one. PM him and ask him about it. It will be veryu positeve feedback.

I took Level 1 and Level 2 on consecutive days at Barber a couple of years ago.

I wouldn't do that again. In fact, I have it in mind to do Level 2 again. I was so full of new stuff from Level 1 that I needed to digest (couple of track days in between would be good) that I had a hard time taking the Level 2 stuff in.

I don't know what they do on the prepackaged 2 day school.

In any case, I found the instruction, organization and teaching to be excellent. Highly recommended.

I took the Level 1 class two years ago and am still using that info to this day. I have come close to doing level 2 but the money never seems to be there at the right time. You learn alot and need to digest it as Walllypiper says. With that said I talked to Kieth himself at my class and he said the best way to do his classes is the two day format. You use there bikes and get more instruction with more track time. Plus less people on the track when you are.

Speaking of less people on the track, when I did my class my group had a couple Harleys in it and they always seemed to be in the wrong place at the right time.

Do the two-day class if it fits into your budget for time and money, and go in with an OPEN MIND.

Have fun,

Dana

Gypsy,

I've taken Levels, 1, 2 & 3 (Oct. 05') on my own bikes and enjoyed the hell out of it! Learned a lot and built skills that still show up in my day to day street riding. On the odd occassion that I hit a corner a bit too hot, I've got the confidence to make it through and learn from the experience. Makes you a much safer rider in my opinion which in turn makes those "occassions" far and few between. Also learned that the $ is well spent to learn on the track and perfect those cornering skills on the track (not the street). As said before, most any school will help you improve, but to get actual coaching from Keith and his excellent staff is the best investment (IMHO) that you can make in yourself to survive the streets and enjoy riding to the fullest!

I took the level 1 class last October. I think I was high for a week afterward. But it was several firsts for me. First time on a full on sport bike, and first time on a track. I'm pretty sure you don't need to attend any prior Code schools to do the two day event. I also believe you get a lot more personal attention and access to lot of Keith's toys, like the no BS bike and the slide bike.

I'm pretty much an old f..k, and I wouldn't hesitate on taking the two day class.

Just be careful. That organization is eat up with scientologists, I hear, with Code being the leader. I'd hate to see you hopping around on a couch.
