... and the knife, and another fork, and a spoon....!

I was leaving for work this morning, and there was half a drawer of silverware laying in the road at the intersection. Some of it looked like it had already been run over. Since it's a REAL long light there, I grabbed it and threw it in the tankbag since I didn't want it somehow migrating into my tires on the way home. That wins 2nd prize for weirdest stuff I've seen on the road.

And speaking of the ride home, I left work 20 minutes early, and it was all nice and sunny.

I got home, parked, and KABOOM, it started thundering and absolutely pouring! And there was none of the usual Central Florida "it's going to rain" indications.

I was in Miami and ran across some strange stuff on the road in rush hour traffic. A trailer with lawn equipment came off a truck. First the lime bags came off, my first clue was swerving cars and a big white out cloud. I couldn't see anything, I thought man this is going to hurt. Then I saw the riding lawn mower coming! ABS was in full effect, I stopped within a foot of a sideways police car. The police womans eyes were about as big as saucers, then she closed them. She said she was impressed with the way I stopped the bike, she was sure I was going to hit her. Gathered my **** for a few minutes and then drove down the shoulder. When I got a little further I saw the trailer for the first time.

On our way to Florida in February, the Pillion Paparazzi and I were driving through Atlanta. Typical Atlanta - bumper-to-bumper traffic.

In the lane to our right, we (slowwwwwly) overtook a GM tupperware minivan.

With a cage strapped to the roof.

With 2 turkeys in the damn cage!!

That was without a doubt one of the funniest damn things I have ever seen.

I told the Paparazzi, "Grab your camera! We've gotta get a picture of that!" And, of course, right then traffic opened up and we never saw that minivan again.

But driving by and seeing those 2 turkeys (yes, they were live turkeys) in a cage strapped to the roof of that minivan on the highway...
