I'd volunteer to do a similar set of laminated credentials for staff as I did last year. I have many folks pictures still. To those that I don't...feel free to e-mail me a digital picture....or those that want to change pictures. [email protected]

I also used some editorial license last year for irreverent titles to keep us humble. eg. I was the "Grub and Swill Coordinator". You're welcome to pick your own title of course....or let me come up with something.

......

As far as the regular folks I'm sure we'll go with something better than the sticky labels. Probably a stick-on or clip-on depending on budget. Adding handles helped a bunch last year I think. I *might* even be able to put people's avatars on this years stickers. That and the city, state/prov. they're from.

Lanyards. Let's add a bit more class to the fun. :)

I very much like the idea of photos and/or avatars, too. As for the kitschy titles... I think that's just peachy keen - surprise me, your creativeness.

I think the budget can handle blank lanyards pretty easily.

These two would run about $120 for 300.

Custom printing gets a bunch more expensive.

At lanyardstore.com I found 300 3/8" wide nylon lanyards with "WFO" or "Western FJR Owners" in one color on them would run closer to $420. Add the lanyards and we're talking about 500 bucks.

What about these?

I like 'em because they stay flat, as the little elastic strings are hooked to the ends. Also, if you want to be anonymous, you can wear it backward and it's blank.

I checked and Office Depot had packs of 100, complete with the inserts (just need printed and inserted) for $51.00

I could separate the cards from the sleeves/cords, and ship them to different locations for printing/final destination, or whatever.

My wife gets a discount (that I can use) from Office Max through her employment, so the price may be cheaper if they stock them. Let me know....

I went to Office Max and checked (Yeah, I rode). WOW!

With the discount, the same package of 100, complete with insert cards, came to $28.00 out the door. That's .28c each for hanging attendee badges. Like I said, let me know....

Well, unless someone thinks otherwise and wants me to pursue custom printed jobbies (some where around a buck each for the lanyard alone), I'd say go with the cheap ones that Bob found.

Of course, Yamaha might be able to hook us up with free Yamaha lanyards. Can someone make a call or let me know who to call?

I think the elastic lanyards suck and wouldn't wear one myself. Maybe I'm funny that way, but I'd rather wear a sticker than one of those pieces of soggy pasta.

We've got the budget of $120 for round cord lanyards as a minimum...unless Yamaha comes through and then go with those.

You wouldn't have to wear one. Staff would have cooler ones than attendees. But they're cheap if we can't do better, and they transfer easily, unlike stickers, from day to day and different outfits. And I promise not to pull anybody's out and let it snap into their neck!

That's the point. We can do better. Stickers are clearly out. I think we can afford cord lanyards. Just waiting to see if we're buying them or if Yamaha might have a free alternative.

One of the supplier I've been looking at offers this as a package deal.

$0.28 each when we get between 250 and 500.

I think is a pretty good price for real coords and badge holders.
