I was just looking on the connie board and found that the Concourse 14 is going to have a problem .

It is supposed to be a touring bike for travelling ???.The saddle bags have a limit of 10 Kg or 22 pounds each and it gets worse the rack on the backet is also limited to 10 Kg. In total you can take 30 kg away with you and your passager not much at all.

If your going on a trip 66 lbs should be plenty of stuff. I don't camp so I don't take a set of iron skillets and stuff like that.

But 66 lbs. is a lot of stuff.

We me it's usually the amount of room I have for stuff, not the weight that is the problem.

Fifty lbs. is what an airline allows you to carry in your suitcase. The only time I ever came close was when I had a bunch of golf balls in my luggage for the return trip.

I thought the same thing when I saw the recommended weight limits for the bags on the FJR. I never weighed the stuff I carry but I doubt it's more than 50 lbs. and that's spread across the two side bags and a Givi V46 trunk.

For touring, I think it will be hurt more from the 5.8 gal tank on a thirsty engine than any luggage weight restriction.

Agree. Unless the VVT gives some outstanding fuel economy, the 5.8 gal capacity is disappointing compared to the 6.6 gal for the FJR and the 7.7 gals of the ST1300.

I did have a deposit down on a C-14, but got it back. Don't believe the C-14 is going to be available until sometime in July which means a good part of the riding season is already past.
