Rode to work in the rain this week. Since then, I have a fogging in both headlights. I can't stand it! I have tried to find out where it is leaking, but didn't find a thing. I also tried to use a hairdryer to clear it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pull the bulbs out the back, and blow some dry air in there using a compressor...?

I would think the obvious place to look would be the rubber boots. Are you sure they're properly place and secure? I've had the whole headlight unit out and although it's glued it seems VERY solid. Unless you've taken an obvious rock hit I would think the boots.

You, by chance, change a headlight and then it started fogging up sometime after that?

I haven't tried this myself so I don't know if it would work or not but it should.

Get some denatured alcohol and spray it into the lens with a spray bottle. Just a light mist should be enough.

The alcohol should absorb the water, and then you can easily evaporate it out by leaving it open overnight.

Had that problem temporarily, I had some water in the rubber boot. Just took them both out and dried them good and re-insert them. If it persists, then I presume its the humidity, but then again, we don't get that in Southern California.

Hell, I had standing water in mine after going to the car wash. Didn't even think twice about it. I have the boots off my wires because I was taking the HID's in and out so much.

I ignored the water and it went away. No fog, no mold, no fish. And my HID's didn't explode.

Just take the boots off and go riding. The moisture will just evaporate on it's own. As long as you don't get stuck in the rain again....
