Granted, the Danica news is a week old, but, still big news. Some will say it wasn't a 'real' win as it was a fuel mileage race, but, last I checked, they don't have stats on just fuel mileage races.

Ashley Force...couldn't have written the script any better. Up against her dad in the finals. If John wins, it's his 1000th round win. If Ashley wins, it's her first win and the first event win in funny car by a female. Tree goes green, Ashley gets great R.T., daddy goes up in smoke, Ashley wins. This was her 3rd straight appearance in the finals. She's also leading the points.

OK...for those of you who say this post lacks testosterone, Antron Brown, former pro stock motorcycle drag racer, won the top fuel race in Atlanta. Earlier this year, he became the first person in NHRA history to record a win in both Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycle.

I love drag racing, competitive women make it that much better. Angelle Sampey signed my fjr1300.info hat last year at Englishtown just after she set the new PSB record.

I'll be back in Englishtown this June for my yearly fix at the horspower show. Nothing else compares.
