Great video! Really enjoyed that. Naturally I was rooting for the bike, which.... Well, you'll just have to watch to see who won. Jb

P.S. The narrator talked about a speed advantage of the car because it had 4 vs. 2 tires on the ground. Is that right?

There's a definite traction advantage in corners with more rubber in contact with the road surface.

The last time I went up against a Gallardo, the FJR ran and hid from him (had a bit of help from slower traffic).

Lambo vs. Ducati...

That's what I call a Win-Win situation!!!

Great vid! Thanks for sharing!

Right, so it's a corner stickiness traction thing, not a pure straightaway speed thing. That makes sense.

Yes, I remember your Dance with Angelina thread. It made me feel better about not being the only crazy sumbitch out there in FJR Land.... :D

Speak for yourself....I have never been certified or convicted of crazy. And I'm sure there are plenty among us guilty of what many would consider less than sane behavior. It's all relative....

Caveat: I have not watched the video. There are a lot of diffences in how and where the speed of each vehicle is applied on the circuit. For instance, the car can carry more speed entering the corner while the bike should accelerate from the apex of the corner. Most high performance cars should be able to outbrake the bike (again: more tire footprint as the bike will "stoppie" so try to brake on one wheel).

I wold think that each track would benefit one vehicle or the other, i.e., the vehicle with the highest top speed would be helped by a track with long straights.

thanks for sharing that video. I will send it to my daughter....she rides that Duc...not quite that fast...at least I don't think so.. I hope not. Anyway, loved it!
