This probably doesn't belong in "Ride Reports" but it's as close as I can find. Post a picture of your favorite road. To get things started, here's one of mine.

Hwy 212 south of Red Lodge, MT:

Here's a couple of my favorite bike roads:

I used to live on the Ortega Highway, Highway 74, in southern California, between Lake Elsinore and San Juan Capistrano. It's a rather famous bike road.

And, Highway 87 in the Black hills northeast of Custer, South Dakota is a great road. There's lots of similar roads in the Black Hills, but this is an example:

First, a classic from the Central Coast of California - Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd, from Jolon to PCH:

Next, a lesser-known but thourougly enjoyable set of roads north of Los Angeles. Cerro Noroeste Rd. is the upper route (Cuddy Valley Rd. changes names as it goes west), and Lockwood Valley Rd. runs from the lower left to the middle-right.

I was told about US421 before my trip this past July down to The Dragon". I got to ride part of it (not enough time to do it all). What a road. I'm going to have to go down again to ride the rest of 421.
