If the motor is paired to the owners cell phone app, the motor locks when the phone moves away. Even if the bike is 'set free' the motor will still be locked. Their competitor (FlyKly) with very nearly the same device has a cell phone app that includes tracking the bike.Starts at $700. I foresee a shortage on hacksaw blades in places where owners lock up their bikes with these on......
What I was thinking is that a bike can be pretty secured to where you'd have to really damage it to get it, but if you just have to slice through the seat stays and chain stays you could grab the back end and be gone in minutes--the wheel would be worth more than the bike in a lot of cases.If the motor is paired to the owners cell phone app, the motor locks when the phone moves away.
