I know we are chicken ***** , but we will trailer them to Smitty's south of St Louis, and ride from there. Cut us a break,it is only supposed to be -16 degrees tonight.(
I'll more than cut you a break on that. If it were me and I had access to a trailer, I would tow far enough to make sure that on the return trip I could reach the trailer without running into snow or ice.

First day! Rode to Eustis today for the antique bike flea market. Met up with chiefj48, looking for a corrrect seat pan for my knucklehead, no luck( for what I want to pay) but all the vendors werent there yet. Nitelife just got in, rain all the way from South Carolina, but his gear held up well. Hitting some backroads in the AM and maybe flattracks in Barberville after. Gloomy with a bit of rain, which should blow through Sunday, then Sunshine all week. Anyone in town PM a phone number if you want to meet up.

Saturday was pretty much a washout with steady rain, cleared up yesterday. Bluebird skies and 72 degrees!

Rode with Nitelife (Larry) yesterday and hit some of the bigger venues and some backroading. He toughed out the weather in a tent, he's a great guy and a good rider.

Got an appointment to demo a DL1000 today, I've got to see what all you V Stromers are talking about. Then watch some AHRMA practice session.

Oak leaves are falling like rain, got to do some raking this AM.

Well sorry you did not find the seat pan you were looking for, but hope you do.

glad to hear you had a nice time riding, even happeir it appears the weather may be nice all the way down there and back.

heading that way either 6th pm or 7th am, will also be staying at the day 200 mc camp ground..

just planning on checking some scenery out and riding a little, maybe along the coast.

rain rain go away .

No problem with the seat, can get it locally for the same money. The 200 campground is where Larry stayed. had some problems with late night fights and noise but it is better than most. If it gets too bad stay here. Skippy is coming in about the same time as you. Gonna have some BBQ on thursday, and you have got to come over. Weather is perfect. PMing my cell.

Well, I left Daytona at 8am and pulled into my driveway at 1:45. That is a record for me. Made 2 short stops for fuel. If I wasn't doing 85mph I was doing 90. Man I love my FJR!

Brad, Thank you for your hospitality and a great ride. The scenery was awesome. My favorite part of the trip was you and I passing all those Harleys. I made it out to the Cabbage Patch but didn't stay long. Not a whole lot out there. Took a ride after that down to New Symrna Beach, then back up to parade down main street a couple of times. Ended up at the Wing House again. Damn I love that place! The food ain't bad either!

I have a feeling Daytona is about to get crowded. I past at least 1,000 bikes on 95 today headed south. Brad, I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation. I have a spare room here if you ever need a place to crash. Hell, come on up in May and we will hit Myrtle Beach Bike Week.

Man, you hauled ass getting home! Was gonna call tomorrow to check on ya. I heard today the cole slaw wrestling is wednesday so you missed it. No big deal, the wing house is better anyway.

Town is stiil filling up, peak crowds will be after wednesday, you saw it at the best time.

Can't do Myrtle beach, got to save time for EOM and Maine right after. We'll ride up from youre house.

If y'all can come around Thursday, going to have a farklefest and BBQ at my house (TBS, plugs etc.). Had planned to ride to Jax for Sargents open house Friday, but if a group ride happens I'm in. Ponce Inlet is as good as anywhere to meet. Just talked to Skippy, and his bunch is delayed until Friday, they wil be in Astor, which is close to good backroading.

Saturday AM gonna ride with a mixed group of locals before the 200, then tailgating in the west horseshoe :yahoo: All are welcome!!

:( Looks like timing is everything. Be there the weekend of the 31st (on the bike!!!). Brad, put some of those leftovers in the freezer for me.

Will do Dan, What a great week so far, yesterday was the best, Smitty comes to Daytona! talked him into a couple CC installs. We didnt make him do laundry either like you Cali folks, and I'm also stuck with a six pack of Corona.

Great farkle, worked flawlessly today. Smitty is a real Pro on the install and a hell of a good guy. His bike setup is perfect, with the farkles for LD riding. Gotta do that when I grow up!

Today got cut short with a rescue mission for my daughter's car (ended up with a new battery). Glad I was in town when she called, because Sargent seats in Jax doesn't have the FJR seat completed yet.

Short 3 hour ride tomorow then 200 race!
