Cracked fender 2013

Anybody have their front fender break at the screws right in front of the fork tubes on each side? Is this a warranty issue?

IMO this is definitely a warranty issue. Go get a new fender.

Can't hurt to visit the dealer...all you're out is time if they say no to warranty.

my guess is the fender is missing the metal spacer things that go in the holes....

I concur completely. Assuming you weren't the last one to remove and install the fender, it should be handled either under warranty or as goodwill by the dealer who assembled the bike or who last removed/installed the fender.

The fender has never been removed. I guess I am asking if anyone else has had this happen.

my spacer twisted with the excessive force I had to use to remove the bolt. I just put it in a vice and straightened it out, but it left a pretty good gouge in the plastic of the fender (inside, not visible)

Let's hear an answer to Fairlaner's question. If you did not remove the fender the dealer should be held responsible to replace the fender!!!!!

It never had any metal in it. The dealer took a picture of crack in fender & sent to Yam. Word is, they will take care of replacement.
