I attended the HOA Rain Forrest ride last year. It's sort of a dual sport adventure bike ride put on by a company that markets aftermarket parts for a variety of bikes.

There was a guy riding a Suzuki DRZ 400 wearing a Harley jacket. Someone just had to poke fun at him and say he was cross dressing.

I had a Suzuki DR 650 with some high viz gear that had Suzuki very prominently displayed on the front and back.

I just got an FJR and after I rode around got to thinking about this Cross Dressing thing and until I could get some new gear I wasn't so worried about the cross dressing as I was about all the people trying to figure out what that cool new Suzuki was.

They likely pegged you for a cross dresser on a BMW. Don't worry about it, one day they'll probably find out what the three tuning forks represent.

You're still a cross dresser though.

I still have the Harley jacket my parents bought me back in 1988. I seldom ride with it anymore but it is the first jacket I put on each fall and the last to be put away. It still looks and feels wonderful.

I also have friends that bring me Harley Davidson T-shirts from all over the country, I do the same for them. I have no problems riding my Yamaha with an HD T-shirt.

I think it is like going to a concert and wearing the T-shirt for a different band. That is what you are supposed to do. The exception to that would probably be Rush or perhaps Blackberry Smoke.

No. I sprung for some Klim overland jacket and pants. Just in case I wind up with another brand in the stable. The pants were first gear and they would soak through the crotch with even a half hour out in a medium rain and the Velcro cinch tabs around the ankles always came loose. The Jacket Velcro cinch tab around the neck never held and the vents were useless. It was time for a new suit. Never thought about Bringing My Wallet (BMW)

Spousal Unit has never owned or ridden a motorcycle other than a BMW. Yet she likes Harley riding pants. They sell some textile pants that just fit her better than anything else she has found. If she's happy, I'm happy.

Kudos to you for admitting you're a cross-dresser on THIS forum. :) :) :)

I have one Yamaha long sleeve t-shirt. I mainly buy shirts from interesting pub/restaurants that I visit in my travels. Last year I also added an EOM shirt to the mix, and hope to get more.

Went for some years wearing Triumph gear after I got my first FJR. No one ever accused me of anything inappropriate, though.

Perhaps they were laughing at me behind my back?

But then, that's all they could see of me when I'm on my FJR ;) .

Some years back, I pulled into the Crossroads of Time on my GSX1100G. Pete Leary had a good time ribbing me for wearing a Gold Wing belt buckle while riding a Suzook. Only excuse I could offer was I got dressed before my first cup of coffee.

I feel so much better now that I have it out in the open.

but I draw the line at motorcycle gear.

Cross dressing? Isn't that a 2 minute hockey penalty?

Wife isn't into the game but she went sometimes with me. She'd put in earplugs and read a book. There was a cross checking penalty announced and she looked up and said, "cross dressing? There's a penalty for cross dressing?" True story...

IMHO wear whatever you want. I tell folks who have a problem with it to fork over the $$ so I can dress "properly" or STFU.
