www.MO rated the Star Roadliner, Triumph Rocket and HD Road King

Star won by a long shot.

From Mortorcycle Online:

"That engine isn't alone in its excellence. The Roadliner's chassis has a nice stiff steering head and does a great job of transmitting the rider's inputs to the tire's contact patch. This makes the bike easy to steer and the geometry isn't so radical that the bike wants to fall into turns. Indeed, the Roadliner acts more like a "standard" and feels lighter and more fun to ride than any long-wheelbase cruiser has a right to, while keeping the solid feel and stability that cruiser riders love."

I hope I can quote them okay here...they have all the credit!

I don't know the weights of the Road Star compared to the Roadliner, but I had a Raodstar which felt alot heavier than the Roadliner I sat on a couple of weeks ago. Admittedly I was just leaning it side to side but the weight seems to be carried much lower. It actually felt as light as my dads V-Star 1100.

I have a friend who is trying to sell his vstar1100 so he can buy a new roadliner. Has a lot of cool stuff for a cruiser, a baffle in the exhaust (two into one) that opens when you get into the throttle, suppose to really open up the torque and response. I like cruisers, that is what I had before making the fjr switch (1100vstar), wouldn't mind having another for a second bike, but not on a state employee salary ;)

I've ridden a few cruisers...that's why I don't own one. For me, the geometry is all wrong, the feet-forward riding position is uncomfortable, and they lack the performance that I require from a motorcycle.

Others like the feet-forward stance, and scoff at sport bikes. That's what makes motorcycling so cool; we have lots of choices. :D
