Rich, a guy I see at my local bike shop every now and then has a very unusual saddle on his BMW

Yes, that's an english saddle used on a horse. He even uses sturrups on occasion that hang off the case savers! Note the 'BMW' logo on the tank

O K . I think I'd go for a western rather than english for longer rides though
