I was searching old posts and jumping into youtube to see some of Cyclebabbles work, and most of it is gone. WTH? Only the 2009 EOM video popped up.

Cyclebabble, pick up the white courtesy phone and explain where they went. Also would like to know what camera you're using and which software to edit. I have a drag racing friend who is trying to get setup and I immediately thought of your work. Inquiring fans want to know.

Wasn't YT muting the sound on vids for copyright reasons?

Maybe they were pulled by the author because of it.

**** You tube....They did the same to me..Im done...Actually im going make a flick tell Youtube they suck and WMG music can go suck a donky **** and post it..Or sump in

Where is that dam white courtesy phone?!!!!!

Well long story kind of short. Youtube and WMG (Warner Music Group) are having a spat. Warner wants more money from youtube whenever a piece of work they own the rights to is shown on youtube. YT refused. So WMG demanded that any videos with their material in them be muted or removed from the site. When I saw this coming down I removed the videos with WMG music as the soundtrack from youtube, which was pretty much everything I had made. Thousands of videos have been affected by this, including those of the illustrious Jdog, (who inspired me to make ride videos in the first place.)

At the present I am in a bit of a moral dilemma. I want to make more ride videos with popular music, as well as post the old videos that I have made. There are plenty of websites that are not currently enforcing the WMG standards. However it is actually illegal to do this. Thought honestly what are the chances that big bad WMG is going to come after some guy making ride videos that barely hit 500 views...slim to none.

Though fear not loyal viewers, new videos are on the way. The youtube debacle has forced me to find other ways to make my videos more entertaining, without violating copyright laws. I have been trying to find a way to make ride videos that are different, maybe more cinematic. But still have not found the mix that works. Plus riding season here hasn't even really begun yet. I also have plans to make some travel videos this summer, but again haven't nailed down the exact story I want to tell. Juggling many different ideas at the moment. Eventually I was going to post a thread and ask for opinions on what you might want to see.

First thought was a documentary following my attempt at the 48 state in 10 day Iron Butt Ride, though I don't know if I can do the ride, film it, and still make it entertaining. After reading another thread that HaulinAshe had posted in, I had the idea of a "What can you see on a 500 mile a day ride?" (or 600, 700). And head west to the Grand Coullee Dam, and then south along the Pacific Coast Highway and back home via Arizona, Utah, Colorado all within ten days.

Sorry about that, didn't mean to steer off course there. As far as video I am using VIOs POV 1. And I am editing using Final Cut Express, though I am looking to change to Vegas Pro. There are some exciting cameras in the works right now, Sony has an HD bullet camera setup due to be released soon. Though the price is going to be pretty hefty.

I hope this explains what has happened and what is planned for the summer months. Filming and editing videos is something I truly enjoy doing, and would love to be able to make it my full time profession, and that is what I am shooting for. So please be patient, New Videos are on the way!

Thanks so much for letting me share them with you.
