Warchild's post HERE earlier today got me thinking about past rides I've taken with my daughter, Sarah. She began riding with me when she was 10, and I think her last ride was towards the end of high-school when boyfriend became more important than dad. She's come full-circle now and at the mature age of 22 she again enjoys spending time with dad when the opportunity come up (and when I'm buying).

As I stated earlier, I believe Dad/daughter relationships are special, and such should be treated with the importance and respect they deserve. A teenage girl gets a lot of her ideas about what to look for in a guy and what that relationship should look like by comparing it to her relationship with her father (or step-father). Garbage in, garbage out, but nurture and respect her, spend time with her, and she'll look to you later for advice and guidance (but being a woman she'll still make up her own mind).

Since RenoJohn thinks the forum as late has been lacking in the area of positive-posts, I thought maybe us dads could post up some pictures of past motorcycle journeys we've taken with our daughters. Heck, even if she's too young to ride so she's only sat on the bike in the driveway post it up. Hopefully the thread will continue on, just as our father/daughter relationships should.

PS. No comments needed about the lack of ATGATT in my pics...these were in a previous life.

Dennis, you and Mr. Warchild sure did turn it around today with a couple of awesome threads. Very fun to see.
Thanks, and I'm sincere when I say that today we've had two of the best threads that I can remember on the forum.

You two have proven that there are at least two very lucky young ladies out there who have awesome fathers.

I'm with you in hopes that we'll see some more.

My 3 year old daughter's first ride on a borrowed 125? in June of this year.

(captured from video so the quallity is kinda' crappy)

[Edit] My wife just reminded me (What would we do without them?) that this all took place on Father's Day so it was extra special! [/Edit]

I'm afraid I have no pics of the rides I have given my daughter and son on my FJR, but I have the memories. If this thread was about sons, I'd tell peeps to look at my post of two weekends ago, showing pics of my son and I having quality time wrenching on the KLR, and pics of my daughter checking to see if we cut a finger off or sumpin, (she declined my request for daughter assistance and sensibly took a nap).

Me and my youngest prior to a ride a few years ago... just after she was tall enough to put her feet on the rear pegs.
