The light installed to the fork bracket.... I left the wire exposed because I wasn't keen on drilling any holes in the fender. I did leave a drip loop in the wire (it hangs down). I didn't want the wire very tight to allow for the movement of the fork and avoid chaffing spots.

The sexy beast with the Darlas....

For power, I use a PDM60. I prefer this to making connections to the battery. This unit is awesome because it eliminates fuses (in the photo there is a fuse - it has since been removed). You can program it so that your circuits wake up after a certain amount of time and it cuts the power after a set delay. For my Darlas, I have it set so that the first 7 seconds that I turn the key to ON, everything stays off (even the GPS) so that I have max power for startup. When I turn the key off, the PDM60 keeps the GPS on for max 10 minutes but it kills power to the aux lights to save my battery.

The controller installed..... the included L bracket gets screwed into place with the provided hardware. You need to remove a screw on the FJR because I believe it is too short to be used to secure the bracket.
I used the L bracket and installed the controller on top of the clutch reservoir. Whatever is more convenient for you.

Bill - keep in mind if you are installing Ericas you also install an on/off switch. Also, if you want the high beam or horn option to bring the lights to full brightness instantly you will need to install small relays that the keep the Ericas from going to full bright all the time. I understand this is an FJR issue. Clearwater provides those with instructions.

I may just install the pot and the on/off switch, omitting the high beam/horn interface. Instructions for Krista/Erica show these (on/off, dimmer) mounted in the panel aft of the glovebox. Seeing the bar mount was interesting.

Bill - bar mount was whole lot easier than the panel mount. It also gives you a little more room for the switch. And I love the high beam and horn features. In particular, when my dual horns come on with all my lights on high it gets the offenders attention a little better I think
