Went to the DC version of the International Motorcycle Show tonight and saw the following:

Gerbing's new G3 gloves ($169) are THE way to go. Electric heat in a glove thin enough to be able to button-push on the GPS. Ain't technology great!

Honda's ST1300 wasn't helping sales with the mirror cover hanging by a wire:

Somebody watched "Batman" a few too many times and the B-King is now known as "BucKING ugly"

The antithesis to Warchild's black Busa:

Check the clear plexi wheels and the clear fairing over the clear plexi clutch cover.

"Man from Glad, please. Paging the Man from Glad"

The MC F4CC was more than I could dish out at a cool $120,000!

The WeeStrom remains a sleeper sweet-heart deal for the do-all king, depsite what my daughter thinks of the looks.

And then there were the two Connie 14s. I had big hopes, but was really disappointed to both see and sit on them. The fit and finish were horrible. These were new show bikes and the body panels had irregular eye-catching gaps. The lowers were unpainted black plastic like the bumper on some SUV or a dirt bike. The glove box is too small for gloves and has no lock, in case you want to keep toll coins, registration, or anything else on the bike. On and on, but the bottom line was that for that much money the C14s were all-around family to the old version of the KLR and not in the same league of fit and finish as the FJR, Beemers, or the ST13 that are the competition.

The new FJR AE anthracite gray color is an absolute hit. Wish I could like the black, but that dark gray just looks really rich and if I needed a new bike I would probably buy one. But in the end, I was happy to get on my '04 Feejer and had a great ride home.
