Deal's Gap April 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th

I'm going to do the Gap, regardless of weather on one of these days. I will be on vacation down there for the whole week Mon-Fri, and was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up. I have never ridden the dragon before, but am looking foward to it.

I do ride rather spirited, so If anyone has any tips about commonly radared areas or anything please let me know.

I would love to ride with someone who is familiar so they could set the pace, I don't like to ride as quick when I have no idea what turns are coming up.

Man, I would LOVE to ride with you, but I cannot make it for that weekend. I'm going to be there the following weekend.



I know the area well and will gladly make some road suggestions if you like.

I suggest you delete your # from public posting (spammers etc) and give it in PMs to any interested.

Kieth PM an admin to change the dates

Send Motorswatcop a PM as his off days are on tues and wed (the days you posted) and if he is free, I'm sure you would not have to twist his arm to badly to go. He would be a great guide and is "spirited" as well.

If you did not see it, go to video section and see how To and Not ride the Dragon. The Not version will show you the gravity cavity that almost got me on my first run back down to the store from the overlook. it is not present on the other side of the road.

That is spring break for my kids and I think we may be doing something by the beach ( I have to find out how much uncle Sam is gonna take first)

If you are gonna be tooling around there for the week, ride 2 hours N to US 421 around Boone, NC (the place of EOM 06) for another good spot. If you go that way, PM Slapnpop, as you are in his backyard.

Yeah I saw your videos it is my third or forth run to the gap. First two were very spirited :assassin:

This time around I am going to take it easy and relax. I did my conquering already and now I am trying to do what I preach as much as I can. I still can't find a speed limit, but now I am only 5-10 away from it most of the time. It appears that people are not listening to my words but look at my actions and say well you can why can't I and then I have to fish them out from ditches.
