Well I went and bought one. Couldn't resist for $250. Hope it fits as well as my x-11, but the X-11 has been on my head pretty much every day for three years and smells.... um.... ripe, even though I wash the liner. That and getting hit in the head by a rock on I70 which left me with a dent on the helmet, I could use some new helmet karma.
GREAT deal on a Great Helmet! My wife has had a Qwest for over a year and loves it . . . I wanted one and have an X-11 that I like a lot and fits well . . . the X-11 tends to be a longer/narrower internal shape . . . the Qwest is a more round, or neutral, shaped helmet internally . . . so when I tried it on I found there to be a pressure point in the forehead . . . but that's me. I found I need an X-11 in the Shoei, or Arai Profile (which has been replaced by the Signet-Q) . . .

Hmnnn, well I suppose I'll see if my melon is shaped like your melon. The X-11 fits me pretty well, so maybe I'm goign to be returning it. My X-11 has some sort of snorting bull on the side that's been a topic of conversation for quite a while, but I got it on closeout for a spectacular $299, so I lived with it.

That's an exceptional deal for a great helmet. If didn't already have one I'd buy... actually thought of buying another!

the Qwest is a well respected helmet.

How do you get the 10% discount? All I see is the discounted "preview" clearance price of $274.

Fred - MCGear recently emailed out some 10% off your next purchase coupons . . . I know I got one about 7-10 days ago

Saw your post and followed the link. I've been wanting a better fitting/quality helmet for a while so took a punt on the Qwest too....seems like a good deal.

Be interesting to see if our heads fit the same helmet. My arse fits the seat I got from you that you couldn't get along with pretty well.

That is certainly the case. That's the first thing Shoei tells you when you ask about the different fits. If the X-11 fits your shape it is one fine fitting helmet for sure and quiet. If it wasn't for the convenience for the Multitec (not quite) I'd still be wearing mine.

The Qwest arrived yesterday. Dead chuffed with the look and color, blue and white.Fit and finish are great and feels really comfortable, time for a road test today!
