Oops. I meant deer strike IN the Honda. One word makes a huge difference in this circumstance.

On the way home tonight, 40 MPH back road, this deeply depressed and distraught deer decides to end it all under my front wheels. ABS and quick response saved her. Just as I start to go again, I'm thinking, "Where there's one, there's... <THUNK>. Yup, 2nd fscker ran right into the side of my car, broadside. Damn they are stupid. Damn I hate them. My spidey sense has had me off the bike for the commute recently, what with all the deer I'm seeing. I guess my spidey sense is working. Had I been on the bike, I have to wonder if I'd have been knocked clean over sideways by the impact. I hope there's no dent.

that just happened to a guy i work with, no ****. Hit him right in the drivers side door.

Have deer started smoking crack? I mean, has anyone done a study? I swear, they're crack-heads.

Ari, a local rider saw the deer, came to a complete stop, the freaking forest rat broadsided him and fjr, he broke his tibia/fibia and had over 3k of bike damage.

A lot easier to be a bit philosophical about it when you don't have to skid across the pavement hoping you're jacket, ect. holds up, eh? :)

Welp, there's my answer. That's remarkable.

Likely enough, a reason for such unusually brain-damaged behavior (even for these mangy, stupid-ass forest rats) is that we are in the middle of The Rut, and bucks are running around frothing at the mouth, trying to score some doe-nooky.

Personally... I think the hunting season should be abolished. Hunters should be allowed to kill these flea-bitten vermin year-round.

Hell, I'd even buy their ammo for them.

A couple years ago I was on the road around 5:00 AM in October on my way to my favorite turkey hunting spot. I was driving an old Dodge Daytona. The moon must have been up because there was some light but it was way too early for the sun to be up.

I saw this big deer running through the woods on my right toward the road. I stopped the car to let him cross ahead of me. The stupid animal turned left, jumped a short stone wall, and whacked the right side of my car. The steel was pretty thin on that car because the door and front fender were both dented pretty good. The deer disappeared so I assume he was not injured. I don't generally like the taste of venison, but I would have enjoyed eating that one regardless of what he tasted like.
