Ok, so here's something weird I just noticed a few weeks ago: My right hand has developed a weird deformation.
I think I've metamorphosed into bikerman.
Lemme 'splain. I'm 67 (well, almost 68) and have been riding since '69 (~45 years). Until a year ago I never had a cruise control, though I have often ridden with friction locks. I've got a moderate amount of total miles on various bikes - roughly 250,000. I've noticed that my right thumb joint has come to be configured in such a way that when it's allowed to fall to its neutral position it looks like it's resting on the throttle of a MC, with fingers on a brake lever. I kid you not. My hands are no longer symmetrical. It's not that my hands can't do normal stuff, but it's like my right hand is morphing into something that needs to always be on the throttle of a MC.
Will I soon no longer be human, like The Fly?
